What does the signal flow of the SEPIA L6 look like with Dante card installed?

Can analog and Dante inputs operate simultaneously?

Not for the same channel. You must unplug the analog connector when Dante inputs are in use. The analog and Dante inputs are shorted together; combining them on one channel is not supported. Please note when one channel is using a Dante input, another channel is free to use an analog input.

Can the SEPIA Control port be used as a combined port with the Dante signals?

No, this is not supported. The SEPIA Control port is only for the control of the unit, while the primary and secondary ports on the Dante card are only for Dante.

Do you still have access to analog INs and OUTs?

There are only Dante outputs. No analog outputs are possible. However, there are still all the analog inputs (8).

Yes.

What latency settings are supported?

0.25ms, 0.5ms, 1.0ms, 2.0ms, 5.0ms.

Is Dante Domain Manager supported?

Yes.

What is the maximum number of flows?

The Brooklyn card supports 32 flows in and out. Although the SEPIA host only utilises 8 inputs and 8 outputs.

What is the Dante firmware version at launch?

v0.0.3. the latest Dante card firmware version will be available through Dante control.

Does the Dante card use the Brooklyn/Ultimo or another module?

The SEPIA Dante Card uses the Brooklyn II module.

Can signals be mixed internally?

No, officially, there is no internal mixing or summing.

Internal routing flexibility?

No, only for the Auxes. The input or output must correspond to the slot number (except Auxes).

Can device act as an Analog → Dante bridge?

Yes, only on the Aux inputs. Other inputs will require the signal to go through a module first before it is converted to digital.

Can device act as a Dante → Analog bridge?

No, as there are no analog outputs.

Can I swap my own Dante card out?

No, only a dealer/ service partner can perform the installation. Attempting to remove an option card will void your warranty.

Do I require any software/subscriptions to use the Dante card?

No additional licenses are required to use the Dante card. Only SEPIA Control and Dante Control.

How many L6 Dante hosts can you put on one network?

In short, as many hosts as you like can go on a network, up to the limit that your specific network is capable of. What matters is the number of channels in use. Dante dynamically allocates its audio channels based on use, up to 512 i/o. A chain of modules would only count as one channel of audio.

What are the supported network topologies?

Star point is recommended, i.e., all hosts/Dante cards connected to a single switch. This setup can be doubled up using the secondary port for redundancy. The Dante card can also be configured for a daisy chain topology.

What is the fallback behaviour if the network fails?

There is the option to configure the secondary port for redundant networking.

What is the clock master behaviour?

This is automatically set by Dante control.

What is the sample rate switching behaviour?

The user can set the sample rate in Dante control.
